Learning about solar panels with room four

On Thursday room 12 and room 4 did buddy reading. After we had read our books we went and showed room 4 the solar panels on the library and the RTLB office. Room 12 told room 4 some things we knew about solar panels and we counted how many there were. At the end they told us what they had learnt about solar panels.

Fractions,decimals and percentages

For maths the triangles are turning place value tenths and wholes in to factions,decimals and percentage.

Ten tenths make one whole so we know that if we have ten tenths we can turn that in to one whole.

One tenth = 10%

8 tenths = 8/10

My message to the 7 billionth person

This is a fotobabble message of the 1 most important thing I would like the seven billionth person to know.

ChallengeShareing

A few weeks ago room 12 did some thing called challenge sharing .

In this activity we had 1-2 weeks to write a Little speech about a challenge these are some if the questions we had to answer in our speech.

*A challenge your whole family has faced?
*A challenge that your parents have faced individually?

I shared about x-country last year this was a challenge for me because it was a really big field compared to our school field.

Term 3

Welcome back to term 3
Last term Mrs Macindoe left us to go to another school. ):( This term we have Mrs Burke and Mrs Parkinson. Mrs Burke cane from Frankton School. Last term she taught us for a week and she is a really fun so please make Mrs Burke feel welcome. Also we have got one new student called Caleb he has also came from frankton.

Elvis cars

In art club we have been drawing and painting Elvis cars.

We have been painting Elvis car because there is going to be a big Elvis show in our school hall it is fun painting Elvis things.

Me Jaime and Devon have been doing a guitar its red and its pretty cool it also has real string on it.

Decimals

In maths the triangles have been learning about decimals and how to add them together.
eg: 1.09 +2.70=3.79

also we have been learning how to right decimals in words and in numbers.

There were two people that got 50/50 they were Jaime and Justice. Everyone else did really well.

My goals

In class we have been doing lots of work in our learning logs .

One of the things we have been doing is things other people like about you and also we did a brain storm about what we need to work on.

2 of my ideas were having neater handwriting & being better at simplifying fractions.

Learn-a-thon

On Friday we did the learth-a-thon.
We had been getting new question every day for 1 week all together we had 50 questions and we only had one night to practice 10 questions .

One of the questions were where were did mother Teresa live most of her life ?
